Cycle Chagga Villages
Riding through the villages of the Chagga people, you will experience the richness of a culture that spans hundreds of years. You'll discover banana, coffee, and maize farms that have been passed down for generations. Time and weather permitting, you may be lucky enough to explore the unique underground tunnels and dwellings that were carved out to protect the village inhabitants from vicious attacks by rival tribes.
Your ride starts off in Moshi, proceeding east towards Moshi’s Shanty Town area on relatively flat terrain. You will then head north on a gradual climb towards Kibosho Village which gets steeper as the road progresses along. You will then follow a dirt road towards Lyamungo Village where you will descend south past banana, corn and coffee fields and on the the evening's lodgings for the night.
